Homeschool Co-op Volunteer Sign Up Sheet (free, online)
Teaching slots, hall monitors, setup and cleanup for every co-op day of the semester.
How to set it up
A homeschool co-op runs because every parent serves: teaching or assisting a class, monitoring the hallway, setting up the gym, cleaning the kitchen. Most co-ops require a set number of service hours per family per semester. Post each co-op day as a section with the jobs and head counts under it, and put the arrival time on the rows.
The mistake is a paper sheet at the welcome table and a coordinator who types it into a spreadsheet that night. Let families claim jobs on one page for the semester; the page counts hours per family, sends a reminder the day before, and a cancel link reopens the job for someone else.
Questions people ask
- Can we track service hours per family?
- Yes. Every checked-in job rolls up per family under Hours, with a printable letter if the co-op needs a record.
- Who else can run the page?
- Add the co-op director and the service hour coordinator as co-organizers. Each manages jobs from their own dashboard.
- Can we require a background check for nursery?
- Add a required question at signup and only assign cleared parents to the nursery rows.
Why not a paper sheet or a Google Form?
A paper sheet lives in one place and fills up with the first people who walk past it. A Google Form takes forty signups for a row that needed two, and you find out in the spreadsheet. An online sign-up sheet closes each row when it's covered, sends a reminder the day before, and gives every person a link to cancel so the spot reopens. See the side-by-side with Google Forms.
