Game Day Volunteer Sign Up Sheet (free, online)
Field setup, scorekeeper, chain crew, concession shifts and cleanup, listed per game so every home date has its people.

How to set it up
A home game needs more hands than people realize: a crew to set up the field an hour early, a scorekeeper in the booth, three adults on the chains or lines, two in the concession stand each half, someone at the gate, and a few to stack the benches and lock up afterward. List those jobs under each home game, post the whole season, and families take a job on a date they're already coming to.
The mistake is asking from the sideline fifteen minutes before kickoff. One tip: make the concession stand two short shifts instead of one long one, first half and second half, so a parent still sees their kid play. The page tells each volunteer the game and job in their confirmation and reminds them the day before.
Questions people ask
- One page for the season or one per game?
- One page, with a section per home game and the same jobs under each. Build the first game, Copy the week forward for the rest, and fix the dates. When the league adds a game, copy the last one forward again or extend the page by a month.
- How do we know which games are still short?
- Each job shows a still needed count until it is filled, so you can see at a glance that the Oct 10 chain crew is one short. Email everyone on the page the week before and ask for that row by name.
- What if a volunteer cancels the night before?
- They cancel from the link in their confirmation and the job reopens. If you turned on the waitlist, the first person waiting gets the spot and an email. Otherwise the page shows it open and the team parent sends one email.
Why not a paper sheet or a Google Form?
A paper sheet lives in one place and fills up with the first people who walk past it. A Google Form takes forty signups for a row that needed two, and you find out in the spreadsheet. An online sign-up sheet closes each row when it's covered, sends a reminder the day before, and gives every person a link to cancel so the spot reopens. See the side-by-side with Google Forms.
