When a sign-up page is enough
- Your teams are rotations of known people: nursery, greeters, ushers, coffee, kids' check-in. A page per ministry with every Sunday on it, a reminder the day before, and a cancellation lock inside 48 hours covers that.
- You would rather nobody logged in. Volunteers open a link, tick their Sundays and get an email. The ones who want texts tick a box.
- You run events alongside the rota: VBS, Trunk or Treat, the Christmas pageant, meal trains. Same tool, one more page.
When it is not
- You already run Planning Center for services, songs and people, and the volunteers are used to it. Its Services scheduling is the right place for the worship team.
- You need secure child check-in with pickup codes and allergy records. JustSignup has a nursery check-in behind a flag for a few churches; Planning Center Check-Ins and Breeze do it at scale.
