How to set it up

A Christmas pageant needs two kinds of help: the people who get it ready over four rehearsals, and the people who get thirty shepherds on and off a stage in one evening. One sheet with both means the Sunday school director sends one link in November instead of a new ask every week.

Rehearsal rows repeat by date, so a parent can take the two Sundays they can make. Show-night rows are per role. Add the reception at the bottom: the pageant ends, the cookies appear, and the same page staffed both.

Questions people ask

Our pageant is on Christmas Eve. Can this go on the same page as the services?

Yes. Add the pageant as one section and each service as another. Ushers for 4:00 and 6:00 are separate rows; a volunteer can take both or one.

Can parents of the cast sign up without an account?

That's the point. They open the link, tap a spot, enter a name and email, and get a confirmation and a reminder before each rehearsal they took.

How do we remind helpers before each rehearsal?

Automatically: a reminder goes the day before anything with a date. If a rehearsal moves, change the date once and everyone on it gets the update.

Why not a paper sheet or a Google Form?

A paper sheet lives in one place and fills up with the first people who walk past it. A Google Form takes forty signups for a row that needed two, and you find out in the spreadsheet.
