Cookie Exchange Sign Up Sheet (free, online)
Who's bringing which cookie, how many dozen, plus plates, cocoa and the host duties, so a holiday cookie exchange has twelve kinds and not twelve sugar cookies.

How to set it up
A cookie exchange works when everyone brings a different cookie. The sheet makes each kind a row with a count of one, so the second person who wants to bring snickerdoodles sees the row full and picks shortbread. Ask for the recipe in a question and you have the booklet too.
Set the dozens per person in the description (six dozen is traditional for a dozen guests), and put the host's rows at the bottom: cocoa, take-home containers, labels, and someone to run the swap so it doesn't become a scrum.
Questions people ask
- How many dozen should each person bring?
- Enough that everyone leaves with a dozen of each kind: for twelve guests, twelve dozen is the classic rule, six dozen the merciful one. Put your number in the description.
- Can people add a cookie that's not on the list?
- Yes, the 'your own family recipe' row with a 'What cookie?' question. Or edit the rows; it's your list.
- Can we collect recipes?
- Add a text question, 'Paste your recipe', and the answers export to a spreadsheet for the recipe booklet.
Why not a paper sheet or a Google Form?
A paper sheet lives in one place and fills up with the first people who walk past it. A Google Form takes forty signups for a row that needed two, and you find out in the spreadsheet. An online sign-up sheet closes each row when it's covered, sends a reminder the day before, and gives every person a link to cancel so the spot reopens. See the side-by-side with Google Forms.
