Jotform is a form builder, and a good one: 10,000 templates, payments, a well-rated app. A volunteer sign-up is a different job. On Jotform you build the shift list yourself, cap attendance with an appointment field (one cap for every slot, not per slot), and the free plan stops at 100 submissions a month with Jotform branding on the form. Removing the branding and raising the limit starts at $34 a month billed yearly (Jotform pricing, October 2026). JustSignup starts from the shift: spot limits per row, a waitlist, a reminder the day before, and no branding fee.

If you need a registration form that takes a payment and asks twelve questions, Jotform is the better form builder. If you need forty volunteer shifts filled without two people taking the same slot, and a reminder sent without you remembering, JustSignup does that out of the box for a quarter of Jotform's cheapest paid plan.
