JustSignup

Text reminders

JustSignup is a volunteer sign-up service used by schools, parent groups, churches and small nonprofits. When a volunteer picks a spot on a sign-up page, they can choose to get a text reminder. This page describes that program.

How a volunteer opts in

On the sign-up form, the volunteer enters their mobile number and ticks a box that is unticked by default. Without the box, no texts are sent. The box reads:

What we text

Example messages:

JustSignup: You're signed up for Book Fair cashier, Tue Nov 10, 8:00-10:00 AM at Example Elementary. Change or cancel: https://justsignup.io/m/abc123. Reply STOP to stop.

JustSignup reminder: Book Fair cashier is tomorrow, Tue Nov 10, 8:00 AM, Example Elementary library. Details: https://justsignup.io/m/abc123. Reply STOP to stop.

JustSignup (from Dana, Example Elementary PTA): Friday's festival still needs 3 people for cleanup 7-8 PM. Grab a spot: https://justsignup.io/s/xyz789. Reply STOP to stop.

How often

It depends on how much you sign up for. A single shift means two or three texts: the confirmation, the reminder, and a change notice if anything moves. Organizer messages are occasional and only about the page you signed up on.

Stopping and help

Reply STOP to any text and you will get one confirmation that you are unsubscribed, then nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or email support@justsignup.io. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Organizers cannot upload phone lists. Only volunteers who entered their own number and ticked the box receive texts. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the privacy policy.
